In an effort to protect one of the largest juvenile salmon habitats in BC at Cumsack Slough, the CRSF funded and participated in the bank stabilization of the Homathko River at 3.5 km.
CRSF would also like to thank the following companies for their generous contributions:
International Forest Products contributed $19,000
Kruger Forest Products contributed $10,000
CRSF covered the balance of the cost @ $47,000

The Homathko River was threatening the Cumsack Slough watershed by eroding the banks at 3.5km upstream of Butte Inlet. By shoring up the gravel along this curve in the river, the CRSF is able to prevent glacial till water from entering the crystal clear water in Cumsack Slough.
