BC Hydro announcement that it is removing the old diversion dam is a good step towards guaranteeing steelhead populations in the Heber River. This disused, circa 1950 dam that was used to divert water to the Campbell River John Hart Generating station will no longer be an obstical to fish stock trying to migrate through the river.
